Build your own setup

Build your home racing simulator

A home racing simulator has four core parts: a rig to sit in, a gaming PC to run the sim, a screen to see the track, and a wheel bundle to drive with. Pick your parts below, add a VR headset or any optional extras, and we'll put the whole setup in your basket in one click.

Build your setup

Work through each step. Your grand total updates as you go.

1

Choose your base rig

Your rig holds the seat, wheel, pedals and screen at fixed angles, so every input is consistent and nothing flexes when you brake hard. Formula rigs put you in a reclined, legs-forward position like an open-wheel car; GT rigs sit you more upright like a road or endurance car. Several of the rigs below switch between both, and the foldable models suit rooms that are also used for other things.

Tip: check each rig's dimensions on its product page and allow extra space to get in and out, and for your screens.
2

Choose your gaming PC

Racing sims such as Assetto Corsa Competizione, iRacing and F1 are far more demanding than golf simulators, especially on ultrawide or triple screens, or in VR. We recommend choosing the highest spec your budget allows: the Killer Elite and Killer Ultra are built for high-refresh 1440p and 4K.

Choose a level from each PC's dropdown. For full specification details of any PC, click its image or product name.

Please note: a keyboard and mouse are not supplied with any PC. You will need to provide your own.

Choose your screen

A 34" or 49" curved ultrawide shows more of the track either side of the car than a standard screen, which makes judging corners and overtakes much easier. A 4K screen gives the sharpest detail but needs a more powerful PC to hold high frame rates.

Match your screen to your PC: the Killer Core suits QHD and 34" ultrawide screens, while 4K and 49" super ultrawide screens are best paired with the Killer Elite or Killer Ultra.

Tip: building a triple-screen setup? Choose your monitor here, then change the quantity to 3 in your basket.
4

Add a VR headset (optional)

A VR headset is an optional extra. It puts you inside the car, so you can look into corners and judge distances naturally. Many drivers use VR alongside a screen, switching between them depending on the session.

VR is demanding on your PC, so we recommend pairing a headset with the Killer Elite or Killer Ultra.

This step is optional and is not needed to complete your setup.
5

Choose your wheel bundle

Every racing setup needs a wheelbase: the direct-drive motor behind the steering wheel that creates the force feedback you feel through the rim. Both bundles below include a direct-drive wheelbase, a steering wheel and pedals, so you have everything you need to start driving.

MOZA R3: 3.9 Nm, works with PC and Xbox – a great first direct-drive wheel. MOZA R5 Pro: 6 Nm, PC only – stronger, more detailed force feedback.

Tip: playing on Xbox? Choose the MOZA R3 bundle – the R5 Pro is PC only.
6

Add optional extras

Everything in this step is an optional extra. You don't need any of it to start racing – your wheel bundle already includes the wheelbase, steering wheel and pedals.

Add extras to make your setup more realistic: a shifter or handbrake for rally and drifting, a clutch pedal for manual driving, a racing dash for live telemetry, or an alternative steering wheel. Choose as many as you like, or none at all.

Some upgrades only fit specific MOZA wheels or pedals, so check the compatibility note on each product page before ordering.

These items are optional additions and are not needed to complete your setup.

How much space do I need?

Check the dimensions on each rig's product page, then allow extra room either side to get in and out, and space in front for your screens. Foldable rigs can be stored away when you're not racing.

Ultrawide, triple screens or VR?

A single ultrawide is the simplest option: one cable, no bezels and no extra stand. Triple screens give the widest view but need a triple monitor stand or rig mount and a more powerful PC. VR gives the most immersion, but some drivers find it tiring for long sessions. If you're not sure which suits you, ask us.

Frequently asked questions

Will the wheel and pedals fit my rig?

The rigs here are designed to take most popular wheelbases and pedal sets, including MOZA. Some upgrades only fit specific wheels or pedals, so check the compatibility note on each product. If you're unsure, contact us before ordering and we'll confirm.

Can I skip a step?

Yes. Tick the box under any step if you already own that part, and the rest of your setup will still be added to your basket. The rig and the wheel bundle are required unless you tick "I already have a rig" or "I already have a wheelbase". Everything else, including VR and the extras, is optional.

Does this work with consoles?

The MOZA R3 bundle works with Xbox and PC. The MOZA R5 Pro is PC only. Our gaming PCs run all the major racing sims.

How is my setup delivered?

Each item ships from its supplier and may arrive separately, with tracking for every part. Gaming PCs are made to order and are built and stress-tested before dispatch, so they may arrive after the rest of your setup.
